The Bringing a Health Claim to Information, BAHCI project is a EU-funded project that was launched in August 2018 and is hosted by Sciensano. The project aims to evaluate the uptake of health information (HI) in policy development and practice in European countries.
BAHCI provides insight on the mechanisms and determinants of HI use. An essential element is the development of the Health Information (HI)-Impact Index to monitor the availability, dissemination and use of evidence by key stakeholders. This tool draws on the involvement of European public health professionals and policy makers from 38 countries and a comprehensive review of the knowledge translation literature.
The HI-Impact Index consists in 30 evaluation criteria that monitor:
- Health Information Evidence Quality
- Health Information System Responsiveness
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Knowledge Integration
The HI-Impact Index is currently being piloted among InfAct participating countries. If you wish to participate or for more information, please contact: Dr. Marie Delnord, firstname.lastname@example.org
